Chantrice Rachelle is a self-taught visual artist in Atlanta, Ga who creates abstract paintings. She has been drawing and painting since she was a child and began to publicly display and sell her work in 2020. From joyous moments of childhood to growing pains, Chantrice is inspired by the thoughts and emotions that life’s memories bring. Her paintings have made their way to private collections throughout the US, including Georgia, Maryland, Virginia, and California just to name a few; and most recently she completed a commission for an international private collection in Nairobi, Kenya. Her artwork has appeared in VoyageATL, Shoutout LA, and VoyageMIA.

Artist Statement

For me, art is magic that not only adds beauty to its occupied space, but also can evoke a variety of emotions reminiscence of moments throughout life. Through my art I tell stories of life’s experiences, thoughts, ideas, and emotions. Creating art gives me a feeling of freedom, peace, and healing, while also creating something uniquely beautiful for others to tap into their own emotions and stories. My body of work is predominantly acrylic abstract paintings on canvas and digital; however, I often experiment with a variety of mediums and techniques so that I can continue to explore and grow my knowledge and skills in art.
