Bio

Young artist, currently studying a BA fine art degree at University Centre Somerset. Primarily I work in photography, with a focus on macro and abstract genres, although occasionally move to work in other mediums, painting / printmaking.  A key inspiration for my work is the idea of the sublime and creating pieces that overwhelm with colour.

Artist Statement

Before making these pieces, I had been researching boundaries. Both physical and emotional, drawing connections between stained glass windows and the varying emotions of happiness to sadness people express when viewing the windows. From these photos, I sought to create a sense of distortion for a viewer in that there is no border or recognizable shape, just strong sections of swirling colour. That will speak to a person without the need for a subject.
